Religious programmes at Dattapeetham

VIJAYAWADA: Marking the completion of `Chaturmasa Deeksha' at Ganapati Satchidananda Ashram in Patamata, daylong religious programmes were held at the ashram on Wednesday.

The `Deeksha', which began under the supervision of Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji of Sri Dattapeetham two months ago, would conclude on Thursday.

Besides the daily rituals, devotees performed `Ananta Padmanabhaswami vratam' on the occasion. Devotional musical concert by Lingamaneni Krishna Prasad and troupe entertained the gathering. It began with`Vighneswara... Sarwa Jagadeeswara..' a keertan praising the qualities of Lord Ganesha. They also sang keertans on goddess Tripura Devi and Marakata Rajarajeswari Devi penned by Ganapathi Satchidananda Swamiji.
