BANGALORE: A.V. Education Society, J.P. Nagar, celebrated its 39th Annual Day recently. Ajit Kaikini, director, Growth and Corporate Training, Buoyancee, was the chief guest. He advised parents and teachers against comparing children as it killed their individuality and they would grow into uninspiring adults. He told the students to have faith in their ability. Variety entertainment programme included "Thiruvathira", a dance form of Kerala, bhangra and a mime show. At the senior school annual day, Lakshminarayana Bhatta, retired professor of Vishweshwarapuram College, was the chief guest.
Health club activity
Bangalore Public School, Indiranagar, organised a "walk for health" recently. Students of classes VII and VIII went around the area holding placards with slogans such as "health is wealth", "avoid junk food" and "avoid aerated drinks". Vice-principal Vasumathi flagged off the walk that covered 2.5 kilometres.
Investiture ceremony
Kendriya Vidyalaya (CRPF), Yelahanka, held its investiture ceremony recently. M. Nageshwara Rao, chairman, Vidyalaya Management Committee, was the chief guest. Principal Anu Thomas administered oath to elected members of students' council.
