Kolkata: Film actor Bipasha Basu handed over a cheque worth Rs. 17 crore to Jaiprakash Jaisawal, winner of the whopping jackpot prize in an online lottery, here on Wednesday.

Mr. Jaisawal, a trader from Kolkata, is claimed to have bagged the biggest amount ever to be won by an Indian since online lotteries were introduced in 2002.

The six magical numbers that helped him become the Playwin Thursday Super Lotto Jackpot winner were 3, 9, 15, 26, 29 and 39.

Overwhelmed on winning the extraordinary amount of Rs. 17,29,15,375, Mr. Jaisawal expressed his desire to use some of the money for investment in his business and save the rest for his children's education.

Shree Krishna Communications, the agency from where Mr. Jaisawal bought his ticket, will also earn Rs. 17.29 lakh as the mandatory one per cent agency commission.
