THENI : Residents of Mudalakkampattti impounded a government bus proceeding to Andipatti from Periakulam, at Mudalakkampatti on Wednesday, demanding operation of additional services during peak hours through their village. They said that the single service during peak hours was insufficient to transport students to a school near the Vaigai dam. Agitators did not allow the bus to move for more than two hours. They said that the driver did not stop the bus at Mudalakkampatti during peck hours on Wednesday morning, owing to heavy rush in the bus. The police and transport officials rushed to the spot and assured them to operate additional services during peak hours in the morning and evening. Later, they allowed the bus to go.
