ALAPPUZHA: Two persons were killed in separate incidents of violence at Haripad and Vallikunnam in the district on Tuesday night. D. Yasodharan alias Thampan (37), Palathara House, Thamallakkal, near Haripad, was hacked to death by a group of people on Tuesday night.
Accused in many cases
The police said Yasodharan was an accused in several criminal cases. In another incident, V. Sreelal (21) of Madhathilethu Sangamam House, Vallikunnam, was stabbed to death by a person on Tuesday night. Sreelal's brother had an altercation with the assailant earlier. The SNDP has called a hartal at Vallikunnam on Thursday in protest against the murder of Sreelal.
