KOTTAYAM: The Sreenarayana Trophy instituted by the Sreenarayana Boat Club here was lifted by Thuruthithara in the Kavanattinkara Boat Race held on Wednesday. The trophy was for Iruttukuthy variety of boats. More than forty boats participated in the race. The race held near the Tourism Complex at Kumarakom was flagged off by Forests Minister Benoy Viswom. The public meeting organised in connection with the race was inaugurated by K Suresh Kurup, MP.
