ICC suggests forensic test

NEW DELHI: The International Cricket Council said on Wednesday that forensic tests might be conducted on the ball used in the controversial Oval Test to ensure a fair hearing for Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq.

"A forensic test is being suggested," ICC chief executive Malcolm Speed told reporters. "The laws of cricket are clear on what constitutes changing the condition of the ball.

"Lawyers of Pakistan and the ICC are studying what evidence can be put forth." — AFP
