KOLLAM: Sale of liquor by the Kerala State Beverages Corporation (KSBC) through its retail outlets during the Onam season (August 30 to September 5) touched a record of over Rs.100 crore. This does not include the sale of liquor through bars. A top KSBC official said here on Wednesday that Onam liquor sales during the seven days this year was 20 per cent more than the sales during the corresponding period last year. In monetary terms, the additional sale touched Rs.15 crore. According to figures , on Uthradam day alone the sale of liquor touched Rs.17 crore.
