KOLLAM: A 48-year-old man, Sahadevan, committed suicide after killing his wife on Tuesday at Poruvazhi, near here. The police suspect that financial constraints compelled Sahadevan, a farm labourer, to take the extreme step. The couple have two children. The elder son, Prabhat, 19, is suffering from a kidney ailment and Sahadevan had taken a loan for his treatment. The police said he sent his children to a neighbour's house to watch television before strangling to death his wife, Komala, 37. He later hanged himself.
