FRANKFURT: Seven-time Formula One champion Michael Schumacher will announce his retirement on Sunday at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, the Bild newspaper reported on Wednesday. "We can't comment on everything. As we said, there will be more on Sunday," Schumacher's spokeswoman Sabine Kehm said. The German, who holds every major record in Formula One racing, has said before that he would announce a decision on his future at the Monza race. Speculation has been rife in the German media in recent weeks that Schumacher would retire when his contract with Ferrari expires at the end of the season, which still has four races left, including the Italian one.Meanwhile, the German believes that Ferrari is still capable of turning the season on its head by winning the drivers' and constructors' championship. "Our chances of turning the championship around are very good. Lots of things can still happen in the remaining four races and I still think we have every reason to dream of winning both titles," he wrote on his website. He trails reigning champion Fernando Alonso by 12 points heading into Monza and Renault is two points ahead of Ferrari in the team standings. Agencies
