SKIAD to extend residential coaching

The facility will be extended to SC, ST and BC students


  • Women's hostel to be built with a capital outlay of Rs. 30 lakhs
  • Social Welfare Department gives Rs.2.5 lakhs matching grant
  • Rural Development Trust, an NGO donates Rs, 27.5 lakhs

    ANANTAPUR: Sri Krishnadevaraya Institute of Academic Development (SKIAD) has taken up construction of a women's hostel to provide residential coaching facility for competitive examinations with financial assistance provided by Rural Development Trust, an NGO, here.

    Vice-Chancellor of Sri Krishnadevaraya University A. Rama Rao and Associate Programme Director Mancho Ferrer laid the foundation stone for the women's hostel building on the premises of AKIAD near district collectorate here on Wednesday.

    The women's hostel would be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs. 30 lakhs.
