KARIMNAGAR: "I would go to any Raj Bhavan as Governor if AICC president Sonia Gandhi instructed me to do so," Minister for Sports M. Satyanarayana Rao has said reacting to speculations about his occupying the gubernatorial post in future. Talking to newsmen at the R&B guesthouse on Wednesday, the Minister said, "I did not expect to become a legislator and later Minister. It all happened according to the instructions of the party high command." On the Governor issue, he said that so far, the AICC president had not talked to him. "It may or may not be possible," he noted. Asked about TRS leader K. Chandrashekhar Rao coming out of the UPA Government, he said, "He (KCR) had adorned a new avatar for the cause of Telangana statehood. I will be the happiest person in the world if Telangana State is formed because of his movement." The Minister also said he had invited him to contest from Karimnagar in the Lok Sabha elections. However, the State Congress had left the Telangana issue to Ms. Sonia Gandhi, he said. On the scandal involving land on the outskirts of Karimnagar town, the Minister said he had asked the Collector and Superintendent of Police to conduct an inquiry and take action against those responsible. DCC president T. Santosh Kumar, ZP Chairman A. Mohan and others were present.
