Australian team visits child rescue centre

VIJAYAWADA: A five-member volunteers' team from Australia on Wednesday visited child rescue centre at Hanumanpet run by the Forum For Child Rights. City Mayor and chairman of the forum Tadi Sakuntala accompanied the team.

Ms. Sakuntala explained to the team members the initiative taken by the VMC to launch the forum, which stood as a role model for other organisations working for the welfare of children.

The team later visited S.K.C.V. Balaprema premises in Bhavanipuram.
