Employees to strike work

Thiruvananthapuram: The Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers has decided to organise a countrywide strike on December 14 to press for its demands. According to a statement issued by it here on Wednesday, the demands included withdrawal of recruitment ban, filling of vacancies numbering around 4 lakh, abandoning of the move to close down offices and ending of privatisation and the contract system. The organisation demanded the withdrawal of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority Bill.
