Woman commits suicide

KARIMNAGAR: Unable to undergo mental torture due to dowry harassment by her in-laws and husband, a housewife reportedly self-immolated herself by dousing kerosene in the Elkathurthy mandal headquarters on Wednesday.

Police sources said that the victim, P Kavitha (25) married P Tirupathi about four years ago. During the time of marriage, a dowry of Rs. 70,000 in cash and other articles were given to the groom. The victim's mother, Manemma lodged a complaint with the police against her son-in-law and his parents.
