Agri Intex begins tomorrow

COIMBATORE: The Coimbatore District Small Industries' Association will organise Agri Intex 2006, an agricultural fair, from September 8 to 13.

According to the expo chairman, A.M. Sundaram, the seventh edition of the fair will be held here at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex. The exhibition will have 250 stalls and its theme is "Grow with Group Farming."

"We expect over three lakh visitors," he said.

Seminars will be held from September 9 to 13 on contract farming, successful entrepreneurs day, organic farming, animal husbandry and farm mechanisation.

Apart from about 2,500 sq.metre of stall space indoors, the exhibition will have another 3,000 sq.metre of outdoor space for equipment demonstrations. The co-sponsor for the exhibition is Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.
