Illumination contest results

Kochi: Results of Lavanyam - 2006 competition for illumination organised by the District Administration as part of Onam celebration have been announced.

The competition, in five categories, was held for business organisations and offices, hotels and restaurants and other institutions on the Marine Drive, Banerji Road, M.G. Road and D.H. Road. The results are:

Category I (Large-scale business institutions): First prize - Joy Alukkas, Shanmugham Rod; second prize - Federal Towers, Shanmugham Road.

Category II (Other business institutions): First prize - White Planet, M.G. Road; second prize - Twinkle, M.G. Road.

Category III (Hotels): First prize - Mercy Hotel, M.G. Road; second prize - Grand Hotel, M.G. Road.

Category IV (Restaurants): First prize - Gokul, M.G. Road; second prize - Thanthoor, Club Road.

Category V (Educational institutions): First prize - St. Albert's College, Banerji Road; second prize - St. Albert's School, Banerji Road. The prizes will be distributed on Thursday evening at Durbar Hall Grounds.
