IED detected in Kashmir

Srinagar: Security forces on Wednesday averted a tragedy in north Kashmir when they defused a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) fitted to a pressure cooker, official sources said.

A security patrol found the pressure cooker near the tehsil office on the Stadium Road in Bandipora area of Baramulla district.

A bomb disposal squad, which was summoned, defused the IED without causing any damage. — UNI
