TRS gearing up for Siddipet meeting

Special Correspondent

Makes efforts to mobilise huge gathering

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is making all efforts to mobilise a huge gathering for its public meeting at Siddipet on Friday.

The party has taken the meeting, the first since TRS leaders K. Chandrasekhar Rao and A. Narendra pulled out from the Union Council of Ministers last month, as a prestigious event. Mr. Rao has described it as a curtain riser to the party's campaign against Congress for trying to water down the demand for separate Telangana.

The TRS has mainly banked on its legislators to mobilise the crowd from their respective constituencies in a big way.

The MLAs reportedly were faced with a heavy demand for vehicles from the party cadre.

Mr. Rao would leave for the meeting in a huge convoy of vehicles from here in the afternoon on that day.
