IN CHORUS: Women singing Vande Mataram at the Gopi Circle in Shimoga on Thursday to mark the song's centenary. Various organisations celebrated the event with more than ordinary interest and enthusiasm. The national song was recited in schools and pu blic places at the stroke of 11 in the morning. Schools belonging to the linguistic minority groups were no exception. Former Shimoga MP Ayanur Manjunath and former municipal president R.K. Siddharamanna offered floral tribute to the portrait of Bhar ata Mata.
