KANNUR: Ramachandran Kadannappally, MLA, has been selected for the award instituted by the Kairali Suhrud Vedi Kerala-Karnataka Cultural Organisation based at Kundapur in Karnataka. Vedi president K.P. Sreeshan said at a press conference here on Thursday that Mr. Kadannappally was selected for the award in recognition of his contributions as a public servant. Kerala Kaumudi reporter O.C. Mohanraj was selected for the award for journalists. Dr. Shivaram Karanth Award instituted for the best Kannada writer was bestowed on G.K. Aithal, he said. The awards would be presented at a function at Kundapur in October, he added.
