K.M. Abraham laid to rest

KOTTAYAM: The body of freedom fighter and veteran trade unionist K.M. Abraham was laid to rest at St. Simon's Church cemetery at Velloor on Thursday.

Hundreds of party workers, family members and friends from all walks of life were present. The funeral procession began at 11.30 a.m. and reached the church by 12 noon. After the final prayers according to Jacobite Syrian church traditions, the body was taken to the vault by family members.

Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan, Ministers P.K. Gurudasan, Mathew T. Thomas, M.A. Baby and Benoy Viswom paid their respects.
