`No role for YSR family in Anantapur mining'

`Licence for the mine was issued to BJP leaders when TDP was in power' Opposition bent on maligning the Chief Minister's family: CLP
HYDERABAD:
The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has strongly refuted the allegation by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) that the Chief Minister's family members were involved in illegal mining in Anantapur district.
Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, the CLP spokesperson G. Muddukrishnama Naidu said the licence for the mine was issued to some Bharatiya Janata Party leaders when the Telugu Desam Party was in power.
He asked the Telugu Desam Party to stop making baseless allegation.
If anything, it was the Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu, who should take the responsibility for illegal mining continuing there now as he was in collusion with the BJP leaders.
The Telugu Desam Party leader was unable to stomach his defeat even after two-and-a-half years after elections and was trying to drag the names of Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy and his son in every controversy just to malign their image, he said.
