KAKINADA: A gang involved in luring girls with the offer of featuring them in `dance baby dance' programme shown in various TV channels and later forcing them to flesh trade has been busted by the East Godavari police. The kingpin behind the racket is stated to be from Hyderabad and operating the business through a network of agents all over the State. The entire racket has come to light with parents of a teenaged tribal girl from Addateegala in the agency area, complaining to the police that their daughter was taken away by a resident of Z. Ragampet six months ago to Hyderabad on the pretext of giving her training to participate in dance baby dance programmes. When she did not turn up, they asked him to show their daughter. To their surprise, he told them that their daughter left the organisation long ago.

According to information, the special team has rescued several girls, including four belonging to East Godavari district. A police official told The Hindu that clues given by agents and calls exchanged through cell phones revealed the entire operation.
