Charges framed against MCD engineer
New Delhi:
A Special Court has framed corruption charges against a junior engineer with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) for possessing assets worth over Rs 30 lakhs in disproportion to his known income. Special Judge G P Mittal passed the order on charge against accused V K Verma, a junior engineer with the MCD, under the relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act.
The probe agency had registered the case based on investigations into the assets owned by the accused between the period of 1987 to 1993.
Mr. Verma had joined the Corporation in 1978 as junior engineer and continued his tenure in the same designation.
