MAHABUBNAGAR: Local Congress MLA Puli Veeranna, DCC president S. Prakash, Municipal Chairman Obaidullah Kotwal, party cadres and others sang the national song in chorus at the DCC office here on Thursday morning. In another programme, members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal, including district president Narasimha Rao and secretary Hanumanthu paid floral tributes to Bankimchandra Chattopadhyaya, the writer of `Vande Mataram' and Mahatma Gandhi at the Clock Tower Junction in the district headquarters and sang the national song. BJP leaders N. Rajeswara Reddy and former Zilla Parishad vice-chairman Ningi Reddy also sang in chorus at the party office here. Students and teachers in various educational institutions also participated in various related programmes.
