CHENNAI: More than 30 companies will participate in the third edition of The Hindu Opportunities Fair, on September 23 and 24 at the Chennai Trade Centre from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This year, job seekers can register online and get their hall entry tickets.

Candidates will be screened and hall entry tickets sent only to those who fit the requirements of the participating companies. Only those with the printout can walk into the fair to meet their prospective employers. Candidates can register online at www.thehindu.com or www.tmifirst.com/hf6/index.aspx, vice president of advertising V. Kalidas said on Thursday.

Venkatesan Seshadri, vice president (global resource management group), Cognizant Technology Solutions, said the fair was more about providing opportunities and not just jobs. Mr. Seshadri said the fair provided an adequate platform for employers to meet potential employees with ease.

The event is being sponsored by Cognizant, in association with Patni Computer Systems, Suntech Business Solutions and Verizon Data Services. TMI First is the technology partner, while the Metropolitan Transport Corporation will run special services to help candidates reach the venue.
