ORR debate on television
Certainly the live telecast of the Assembly proceedings on the last day of the session over Outer Ring Road project became the much talked about event.
For once the discussion weaned people away from the daily soaps and many had viewed the proceedings with interest. And why not? The discussion involving seasoned political leaders from the ruling and opposition parties had all the ingredients, humour, emotion and drama to keep the viewers glued to the TV. More importantly as the leaders came well prepared, it raised the level of discussion in the House. And it did help in educating general public and letting them draw their own conclusions on the current hot issue.
