Argument over accident leads to murder

Autorickshaw driver found killed

HYDERABAD: An altercation over a minor accident resulted in the murder of Satish, 21, an autorickshaw driver, the Begumpet police said on Thursday.

The victim was found murdered at a secluded place in Dhaniyalagutta in Begumpet 11 days ago. Mystery shrouded the murder since the victim's identity was not known but his relatives approached the police after seeing his photograph published in a regional newspaper. Satish used to live in Shapurnagar of Jeedimetla.

Enquiries revealed that Satish had an argument with T. Michael, also an autorickshaw driver of the same locality. According to Begumpet Inspector J. Subbarami Reddy, Michael's three-wheeler dashed the autorickshaw of Satish at Bharathnagar in Moosapet a little after midnight on August 25.

Even as the argument was going on, Michael's friend J. Jeevan came there and allegedly assaulted Satish who fell unconscious. Later, Michael and Jeevan called two others and they smashed Satish's head with boulders killing him on the spot.
