THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Akshaya, a Government project aimed at bridging the digital divide in the State, is conducting a State-wide competition in flower carpet arrangement. All you have to do is to download flowers from the Akshaya website, www.akshaya.net and arrange them aesthetically. The first three `pookkalams' will receive attractive prizes. According to T.K. Manzoor, director, the Akshaya centres are conducting different cultural programmes throughout the State with the help of local bodies. The home page of Akshaya has a variety of flowers and designs to create the `pookkalam.' The completed `pookkalams' should be sent to akshayapookkalam@gmail.com. The competition is open to all. The competition is open till September 15.
