Mother and son found dead
According to the police, Bahadur, who works in a shoe-factory run by the family, found 21-year-old Sameer and his 47-year-old mother Aadesh lying unconscious in the house with blood oozing from their mouths. With the help of neighbours, he rushed the two to Bara Hindu Rao Hospital where they were declared dead on arrival. Enquiries revealed that Aadesh was suffering from a thyroid disorder and was almost bed-ridden. She had three sons, but the eldest, Rinku, had died in an accident. After his death, Rinku's wife moved to another house owned by the family. The police learnt that Aadesh was also not happy with the way her second son Aashu was running the family business. The police suspect it to be a case of suicide pact apparently due to family disputes. The relatives of the deceased are being questioned.

Five members of the same gang were gunned down in an encounter with the Special Cell of the Delhi police this April. The police said Shahadat had been evading arrest for the past five years. The UP police had declared a reward of Rs. 2,500 on his head. Shahadat allegedly disclosed that he was last arrested by the UP police in 2000 for possessing illegal arms.
