C.K. Hiremath passes away

C.K. Hiremath

Bangalore: Channabasaiah Karibasaiah Hiremath, 83, a freedom fighter who was a close associate of the late J.H. Patel, former Chief Minister, passed away at Santhebennur in Davangere district on Friday. He was imprisoned in 1947 during the freedom movement. Dr. Hiremath, who was a registered medical practitioner, had been arrested by the Bharamasagar police for attacking them. He is survived by five sons and three daughters.
