The mass rally on coming Sunday will be addressed by the national CITU President Dr. M.K. Pandhe, General Secretary Chitvrata Majumdar (Rajya Sabha MP) and former Himachal MLA Rakesh Singha. Around 600 representatives of construction workmen from all over the country and national leaders of CITU including four MPs and 14 MLAs would participate in the convention, said Mr. Khushal Bhardwaj, media in charge for the convention. The workers' representatives from Vietnam, Australia, England, Mauritius, Bangladesh, Pakistan and North Korea and 14 other countries would also participate, he said. Flouting of labour norms, widespread corruption, anti workmen policies, atrocities by the companies and providing of State patronage by the Virbhadra government and torture of CITU leaders including the recent one when the State Secretary of CITU Dr Kashmir was tortured by the Chamba police would be the main issues to be discussed in the three day conference, said Khushal Bhardwaj.
