Kochi: Taiwan-based TPV Technology Limited has launched its AOC brand new ultra-thin wide screen LCD range of computer monitors in Kerala. Addressing a press meet here on Friday, TPV Technology Ltd country head Mukesh gupta said, "Having begun its operations in India in 2001 as an OEM supplier, AOC is today the largest supplier of computer monitors in India. Last year, we sold 1.20 million monitors in India and hopes to sell 1.5 million monitors in the current fiscal, which constitute approximately 30 per cent of the total market." Mr. Gupta said the company has appointed Aldous Glare Trade and Exports as channel partner in Kochi to cater exclusively to the Kerala market. The company has at present 10 models of computer monitors in Indian market and it intends to launch five new models by the middle of this fiscal, he said. The monitors are equipped with features such as internal speakers, an in-built power supply, and auto adjustments such as brightness, contrast and colour to soothe the eyes, Mr. Gupta said. AOC a brand of TPV Technology Limited (TPV), listed in Hong Kong and Singapore Stock Exchanges, is the largest manufacturer of computer monitors in the world. In 2005 TPV Technology Ltd had a world market share of around 26 per cent.
