PDP leaders condemn blasts

SRINAGAR: The former Chief Minister and People's Democratic Party (PDP) founder Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and party President Mehbooba Mufti, have strongly condemned the bomb blasts in Malegaon, saying "these are senseless acts of terror."

In a joint statement the PDP leaders said that the perpetrators of these dastardly act have committed a heinous crime. "We condemn these reprehensible acts of terror in the strongest terms," they said.

Call for harmony

Expressing solidarity with the people and the Government of Maharashtra, Mr. Sayeed and Ms. Mufti called for unity and harmony, cutting across party lines, to rebuff the nefarious designs of the perpetrators.

"Such acts of cowardice should strengthen our resolve to fight the enemies of humanity who are shedding the blood of innocents by their mindless acts," they said.
