NEW DELHI: Gaurav Nandrajog played the match of his life to defeat five-time champion Ritwik Bhattacharya and made it to the final of the 54th National squash championship at the Delhi Gymkhana Club on Saturday.Gaurav had a shaky start but he soon found his rhythm and finished the match in style, winning 6-9, 9-6, 9-5, 9-1 in an hour and 25 minutes. In the final, Gaurav faces 2004 champion Saurav Ghosal, who defeated Siddharth Suchde of Maharashtra. Suchde took an early lead but Saurav rallied brilliantly. He was 2-6 down in the first game, but then reeled off a series of winners to take the game 10-8. Then on it was easy for Saurav as he won 10-8, 9-3, 9-0 in 50 minutes.
Joshna, Dipika in final
Joshna Chinappa and Dipika Pallikal will clash in the women's final after scoring easy victories. Five-time champion Joshna defeated Surbhi Mishra 9-1, 9-2, 9-2, while Dipika made short work of Anwesha Reddy in just 21 minutes.
