Balaramaiah is TTD's new Special Officer

Special Correspondent

TIRUPATI: A.V. Dharma Reddy who was TTD's Special Officer at Tirumala for more than two years handed over charge to G. Balaramaiah who has all along been TTD's Joint Executive Officer at Tirupati. Reddy's exit from the post nearly three years ahead of his term comes under dramatic circumstances following an alleged act of impropriety he had committed on the day of the swearing-in ceremony of the new TTD Trust Board.

The officer was held guilty of committing an act of `impropriety' by allowing a member of the new TTD Trust Board -- Indira, wife of Mr. Subbarami Reddy, to take oath of office and secrecy ahead of the time prescribed by the TTD for the swearing in ceremony of Chairman B. Karunakar Reddy and other board members. Piqued with what he felt was a `protocol violation' Mr. Karunakar Reddy brought the matter to the Chief Minister's notice.
