7-year-old boy electrocuted

HYDERABAD: A snapped electric wire in a bylane in Krishnanagar of Rasoolpura claimed the life of a seven-year-old boy D. Sainath on Saturday. The victim was playing near an apartment complex in the locality when the incident occurred, the Begumpet police said. The live wire from the top of the high-rise got wrapped around an iron rod lying in a corner of the street. "The boy died of electrocution when he playfully picked up the rod," Begumpet Sub-Inspector Venkateswar Rao said.
