Washington: Saddam Hussein rebuffed overtures by Al-Qaeda and had even tried to capture its Iraq chief, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, a report by the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee said. It thus disputed President Bush 's stance that there were ties between Mr. Hussein and the terror network before the Iraq war. PTI
