Washington: Saddam Hussein rebuffed overtures by Al-Qaeda and had even tried to capture its Iraq chief, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, a report by the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee said. It thus disputed President Bush 's stance that there were ties between Mr. Hussein and the terror network before the Iraq war. — PTI
