Bangalore: The Palace Grounds here sports a certain glow these days, a very life stylish kind of attraction. And that owes in no measure to an event called "The Hindu Metroplus Lifestyle Show," attracting hordes of people.

The show organisers promise to keep that event aglow till September 11.

First, the show basics. Launched on September 6, the event is all about showcasing a vast range of products and brands in furniture and interiors, fashion and textiles, arts and handicrafts, automobiles and accessories, home appliances, computer and information technology products, beauty and health products, furnishing products and kitchen and bathroom fittings.

For a visitor, the event's objective would be clear: an attempt by The Hindu to build a unique and strong relationship with its readers and advertisers. Similar events in Chennai, Coimbatore and Hyderabad in 2004 and 2005, and in Chennai, Madurai and Kochi earlier this year had been a big success.

The huge crowds at this year's event have already made the Bangalore event a show to talk about for long.

Thanks to greater participation and crowd turnout, the Lifestyle Show brand has only got bigger, better and grander over the years.

With 4,500 sq m of shopping area, 150 stalls and nearly 100 clients participating at the Bangalore show, the event is poised to rewrite some records.

In the words of Rais Arif, chairman of iCare Communications, the official event managers of the show, the exhibition is bound to benefit both the buyer and the seller.

That optimism has gained ground.

A visit to the event will only be a confirmation of that.
