BANGALORE: A group of persons, angry over the death of a man, ransacked a private hospital on Bidadi Road on Saturday. According to the police, Krishnamurthy, a native of Channapatna, was admitted to the hospital three days ago after he was injured in an accident. Krishnamurthy's relatives, the police said, had asked the doctor treating him to permit them to take the victim to another hospital as they were not happy with the treatment being provided. The doctor promised to provide good treatment and refused to release the patient, the police said. Krishnamurthy died on Saturday. The angered relatives of Krishnamurthy threw stones and damaged the windowpanes of the hospital. They also damaged several equipment, including an X-ray machine. On receipt of information, the Kengeri police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. The relatives of Krishnamurthy have filed a complaint against the doctor.
