Manmohan nominated CPA vice-patron

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was nominated vice-patron of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) and Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee elected president at the general assembly of the association in Abuja, Nigeria, on Saturday.

First-time Lok Sabha member C. S. Sujatha was elected regional representative from the India Region in the general assembly's executive committee. She succeeds Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman K. Rahman Khan.
