CHENNAI: The challenge was to make a two-minute music video directed by `Dailamo Dailamo' Vijay Antony to a verse by poet Bharathiyar. The winners got an Apple MacBook, an iPod and a seat in the Apple Final cut Pro Level 1 Certification Course conducted by Audio Media Education (AME). There were two categories in the `I-Create Music Video Contest' - student and senior. Although there was supposed to be only one winner for each category, judges chose three winners for the student category Hema, Sujatha and Amrith, and they all won a 30 GB Apple iPod and a seat at AME, an Apple authorised training centre. Considering that the participants were judged by director Gautham (Menon), Vijay Antony and Aravind Krishna, they had to churn up some impressive stuff. As the lyrics were about abolishing caste and religion-based discrimination, all the videos reiterated equality, with many focussing on children. In the senior category, two videos stood out. The one by Pavan was shot on Bharatanatyam dancers who enacted the words of the song in a studio while the other one featured a dramatic Bharathiyar, with his face painted white. The latter, by Senthil Nathan, won the first prize, making him the owner of the Apple MacBook.
