Railway Minister visits Kauna

CHENNAI: Union Minister of State for Railways R. Velu on Saturday visited Kauna, a special education centre for exceptional children, run by the ICF Women's Organisation. Lauding the activities of the centre, Mr. Velu announced a donation of Rs.1 lakh to the organisation from the Railway Ministry. The Minister also presented television sets to railway hospitals, and launched a vermiculture project.

Ms. Malliga Velu presented cheques to two patients, and to two meritorious students in need of assistance.
