NEW DELHI: The picturesque State of Sikkim is synonymous with its wide variety of flowers. And its rich and rare flowers were on ample display at the 2nd International Flora Expo 2006 that culminated at Pragati Maidan here on Sunday. The stall of Mainaam Garden of Sikkim had put on display eye-catching flowers including Jennifer Gali, Cooksbridge, Starburst, Forest King, Top Spot, and Ice Cascade. Spread over 20 acres, Mainaam Garden is engaged in the production and supply of a complete range of cut flowers throughout the year. Mainaam has been named after a revered peak of dizzy height in the south district of the State. The name suits the garden as the peak is a repository of rich varieties of flora and fauna. The garden is spread in different locations of varying altitudes suiting nurture of different species. And it is the combination of experience and expertise of the team of gardeners and horticulturists, and use of state-of-the-art technology with excellent infrastructure that assures the delivery of quality flowers.
