CHENNAI: Chennai-based Paramount Airways, currently operating twice daily to Hyderabad and Madurai from Chennai, will be flying thrice daily from September 15, Managing Director M. Thiagarajan said here on Friday. The Chennai-Hyderabad-Chennai-Hyderabad flight will leave here at 6.25 a.m., reach Hyderabad at 7.25 a.m., leave Hyderabad at 8.00 a.m. and arrive in Chennai at 9.00 a.m. While the present fleet strength of three Embraer jets would go up with the arrival of the fourth aircraft from Brazil by this month end, Mr. Thiagarajan said the airline would be formally launching the dual configuration seats in the Embraer jets on October 2, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanthi celebrations. The airline will be offering 11 first and 64 business class seats. The airline was currently operating thrice daily to Bangalore from Chennai, twice daily to Coimbatore, Madurai, and Hyderabad and once daily to Kochi. He said the airline's proposed introduction of the third flight between Chennai and Madurai would provide convenient onward international connections from Chennai. The Madurai-bound service from Chennai would depart at 7.00 p.m., reach Madurai at 7.55 p.m., leave Madurai at 8.25 p.m. and arrive at 9.20 p.m. in Chennai.
