Live Legend triumphs

Pune: Live Legend, ridden by S.S. Baria, won (in a record time of 1m 36.74s) the Southern Command Gold Trophy, the main event of the races held here on Sunday (Sept. 10). The winner is owned by Mr. Ashok Ranpise rep. Ashoka Stud Farm Pvt. Ltd. & Mr. Atul N. Amersey. Imtiaz Sait trains the winner.

In the first race, the Orient Dance Plate, jockey Dashrath Singh (Firey Future), got unseated from his mount in the final stages of the race before the winning post as the saddle of his horse slipped behind. It was later announced that Dashrath was kept under observation at the hospital, but out of danger.
