Mystical clinches feature event

Hyderabad: Dr. M.A.M. Ramaswamy's Mystical (B. Prakash up) won the President Of India Gold Cup, the feature event of the races held here on Sunday (Sept. 10). The winner is trained by Ganapathy.

Fines:

In the Soli And Gool Poonawalla Memorial Gold Cup race, jockey N.M. Sequeira (Greyhound) was fined Rs. 1,000 for shifting in, approaching 800 metres, in the process causing interference to Khaleels Pride (A. Imran Khan). Jockey A. Imran Khan (Khaleels Pride) was fined Rs. 2,000 for shifting in, in the final stages of the race causing interference to Touch Of Gold (R.B. Shinde) on the rail.

In the Half-A-Crown Cup (Div. II) race, jockey P. Uday Kiran (Ballistic) was fined Rs. 2,000 for making no effort to prevent his mount from shifting in soon after the start, in the process crowding the runners on his inside, resulting in interference to Peace Talks (R. Lakshmi Kant), Evanston (A. Imran Khan) and Star Valley (App. R. Umesh). The Stewards fined jockey A. Imran Khan (Evanston), a sum of Rs. 1,000 for lodging a frivolous objection. A. Imran Khan (Evanston) was fined Rs. 2, 000 for shifting in, in the last 100m and bumping Hauhaiwunai (M.A. Gallagher).
