Reacting to the incident, Congress leader and former minister Habibulla Khan urged the Chief Minister to order a judicial enquiry into the incident. District Collector of Nowrangpur, Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma, sent project director of DRDA, Narendra Pradhan, to investigate the matter.
