Job mela to be held today

MYSORE: Janaspandana Seva Vedike will be organise a job mela in the city on September 11. Nearly 35 companies will choose talented candidates to fill up 1,600 posts at various levels.

M.K. Somashekar, president of the vedike and MLA, told reporters that it would be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Chikkamma Niketana Kalyana Mantapa on Udayaravi Road in Kuvempunagar.

Companies including ipro, Kirloskar Electric, Nestle India and others, will recruit those with ITI certificates and have passed the SSLC examination. The candidates will have to take a written test and appear for interviews.

More than 700 jobs would be on offer for ITI certified candidates, 400 for those with SSLC pass and 500 for those with knowledge in computer operations.Details can be obtained from vedike general secertary M. Sunil on mobile phone number 98863-78944.
